Human Rights: The Rights of Refugees
Project Scrapbook
About our partners
Amnesty International is a Non-Governmental Organisation that draws attention to and actively campaigns against human rights abuses around the world. Having won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 for its campaign against torture, Amnesty International has become the world’s highest profile human rights organisation.
The challenge
When Amnesty canvassed their supporters to help shape their first human rights MOOC (Massive Open On-line Course), they received over 2000 responses. A decisive 50% of survey respondents said they wanted to learn how to take action. They want to see what human rights look like in practice and they want to connect with people across the world. Amnesty asked us to make this film that would highlight the launch of their first MOOC and show what the viewer would gain from such a course in easy to understand, face paced format.
The film
This film introduces Amnesty International’s online course to empower every one of us to do what we feel is right. It shows how the world is in a constant state of flux, with wars and repressive regimes creating an ongoing refugee crisis. The film encourages us as individuals to affect change against these global problems.

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families have put together a free 5 step framework. Simple and evidence based, the framework was created for schools to use in supporting young people with their mental health.
The Rise Free Trust defend and share the ideas of reason, science and freedom. To help ensure these values are celebrated and travel forward with humanity into the future, we created an emotive secular prayer based on a text created by The Rise Free Trust to encapsulate these important ideas.
The gap between the super-rich and the rest of us is growing. The Fight Inequality Alliance and Human Act asked us to create an animated explainer video to draw attention to this and the growing inequality crisis during the World Economic Forum 2020.
Everyone has mental health, and our level of health can change. In the school setting no one is better placed to notice when these changes happen than staff!
The Cares Family came to us to create a whiteboard animation encapsulating their community ethos and their activities connecting young and old.
We worked with the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families to create a whiteboard animation that introduces the CASCADE framework to mental health and education professionals.
Octopus Communities are a network of community centres that have been connecting communities for 20 years. We created an explainer film about them and their work using our whiteboard style for their members and funders.
Because much of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement’s work is in war zones and areas of extreme danger, it is vital that their staff and volunteers are aware of how to stay safe. We explained more in this whiteboard animation.

What would you do if one morning your life was turned upside down by conflict or the repressive regime of your country?
